How should a city pay strangers to fix what they find in its streets?
One page on a rule a city could actually run: who finds a fault, who fixes it, who checks the fix, and what one fix costs. The pick becomes a real ask on this network.
What we are asking for
Cities already pay for repairs. What they cannot buy is the first hour: somebody noticing, and somebody else confirming the fix was done. We want the rule that pays strangers for both.
A good entry picks one kind of fault, prices one fix, and says who checks it and what happens when somebody says it was not done.
The pick is posted on Openhands Network as a live ask, funded for a month, and the entrant is named on it.
What good looks like
How an ask pays
- 1Someone finds it
- 2It is posted with money
- 3Someone fixes it
- 4Someone else checks
- 5The chain pays

The terms. Everything below was frozen on chain with the money: the poster cannot change the lines, the prize or the dates after the first entry.

What the jury rules on
Five lines. Each is a must: pass all five and the entry is paid; fail one and it is not.
- 1The entry names one concrete kind of fault in a street that a stranger could find and fix.Fails if it names no fault, or only a broad category like infrastructure.
- 2It says who checks that the fix was done, and how they check it.Fails if nobody is said to check the fix.
- 3It puts a price on fixing one such fault, as a number.Fails if it gives no number for one fix.
- 4It says what happens when somebody disputes that a fix was done.Fails if disputes are not mentioned at all.
- 5It is written in plain words a resident could follow.Fails if most of it is jargon a resident could not follow.
How every entry is judged
- 1Your entry is filed on chain, with its hash, the moment you send it.
- 2The oracle reads it against the five lines, usually within minutes, and the ixo decision engine signs the verdict.
- 3Meet all five and the chain pays you in the same step. Anyone can read any verdict, and how it was reached.
- 4Openhands, rehearsing picks one entry and approves its claim on the prize ask; the prize pays the moment it is approved.
